Tantramar Boultenhouse Boultenhouse


The BOULTENHOUSE HERITAGE CENTRE is located at 29 Queen's Road, Sackville, New Brunswick. From the Trans-Canada Highway take Exit #504, take Main Street and follow sign for Sackville Memorial Hospital. At the Hospital, turn left on Queens Road.

Summer Opening Hours : 14 June to Labour Day, Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday 12 noon - 5:00 p.m. or by appointment (536-2541).
Winter Hours : Tuesday - Friday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., or by appointment (536-2541) .
Admission : free to members of the Trust - otherwise by donation (Main level wheel chair accessible).

The Boultenhouse Heritage Centre consists of three component parts :


1. The Boultenhouse House a Greek Revival style mansion constructed by Christopher Boultenhouse c.1840. The ground floor has an entrance hall and four rooms devoted to museum exhibits. See THE BOULTENHOUSE HOUSE .

2. The Bulmer House an earlier Georgian farm house constructed by George Bulmer c. 1792, to which the Boultenhouse House was added c.1840. See THE BULMER HOUSE .

3. The Anderson Octagonal House a unique octagonal house constructed by Captain George Anderson in 1855, moved to this site in 2012. See THE ANDERSON OCTAGONAL HOUSE .

The Trust's RESEARCH CENTRE is located on the main floor of the Anderson Octagonal House.
